Whitewater High School Assistant Principal Maggie Walls has been promoted to principal at McIntosh High School. She will replace Dr. Dan Lane who is retiring at the end of this school year. The Fayette County Board of Education approved her appointment at its May 10 work session.

Walls has 23 years of education experience, all of them in Fayette County. She started her tenure as an English teacher at Starr’s Mill High School before moving to McIntosh High School where she served as the English department chair and gifted coordinator. She was promoted to assistant principal at Whitewater High in 2018.
