Local cancer patients get a boost from local businesses

The Southern Credit Union and local business leaders make a donation on behalf of the third annual Cancer Wellness Walk. Proceeds from the event benefit Cancer Wellness at Piedmont Fayette, which provides free programs and services to anyone affected by cancer, regardless of whether or not they are a Piedmont patient. The 2013 event raised over $60,000, including in-kind donations.
