Fayetteville Mayor and ordained minister Ed Johnson will give a message at the community sunrise service on the courthouse lawn in downtown Fayetteville Easter Sunday morning, April 16, at 6:45 a.m.

With combined planning by Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, Edgefield Baptist Church, Flat Rock AME Church and Main Street Fayetteville, the service will feature music from the Flat Rock AME choir.

“We are grateful for this opportunity to celebrate the message of new life and hope with all our neighbors,” said Dr. David Campbell, pastor of Fayetteville First UMC who envisioned this service last year. “Easter presents a wonderful occasion to connect our community.”
