The Jingle Bell Race celebrates its 21st anniversary this year and runners throughout the community are invited to make it part of their holiday tradition this year.

“This event is designed to boost community spirit, promote wellness, and raise money to support our school improvement focus for the students who attend Peachtree City Elementary School,” according to a spokesperson. “Holiday music and jingle bells promote a festive atmosphere.”

Applications to enter the Jingle Bell Trail are available in the school’s front office or online at www.pces.org and will be distributed to locations throughout Fayette County.  Applications will be accepted until the morning of the race, although T-shirts are not guaranteed for the race day entries.

The 5K run will begin in front of the school at 9 AM, while the 1-mile walk/run will start 10 minutes later.  Participants are encouraged to arrive at the school, located at 201 Wisdom Road, at least 45 minutes early to allow time to park, enjoy the festivities, and warm up.
