Trader Joe’s recruitment signs are an early April Fool’s joke

The Trader Joe’s recruitment signs by the golf cart tunnels near the Avenue are a prank, according to Kelly Lawrence, Marketing Manager for The Avenue Peachtree City. She still has “no comment” on whether Trader Joe’s is coming to their property at all.
However, and this is a pretty big however, an anonymous employee at The Avenue indicated that they were coming to the Books-a-Million spot, but when pressed about whether contracts were signed, could not comment.
So whether the former BAM location really will become a Trader Joe’s is still a little nebulous. But those signs, suggesting that starting pay would be $69,999, and that there’s a hiring event on April 1? Fake.

We hope you got a good laugh, Prankster. We think the traffic won’t be a joke if the Trader Joe’s really does settle in at The Avenue.
