Fayetteville, Georgia – April 22, 2025 – Councilwoman Dr. Niyah Glover, who has served on the Fayetteville City Council since January 2022, was honored during this year’s Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly with the 2025 Yellow rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award. The award is presented annually to recognize outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify the leadership and inspiration embodied by Representative Randall.

Mayor Ed Johnson read the State of Georgia resolution honoring Councilwoman Glover during the April 17 Fayetteville City Council Meeting.

“Dr. Niyah Glover, a dedicated member of the Fayetteville City Council, has established herself as a leader in the mental health advocacy and community well-being through her role as a licensed Mental Health Counselor and as the owner of Allied Health Institute in Fayetteville,” the resolution reads. “Through her tireless efforts, Dr. Glover has successfully integrated mental health awareness into local government discussions, ensuring that the well-being of Fayetteville citizens remains a top priority.

“Her leadership, compassion and dedication to service has made a lasting impact on the Fayetteville community, setting a new standard for servant leadership and strengthening the overall mental health landscape of the community,” the resolution continues.

“It is my honor and pleasure to serve in Fayetteville,” said Councilwoman Glover. “I will continue to serve as we move forward.”
